The Amsterdams Klimaat & Energiefonds focuses on investments in financially and sustainably profitable projects in Amsterdam. The fund offers an interesting solution for projects in the realization phase. Furthermore, the fund can offer long-term funding. Only projects which can achieve a verifiable and significant CO2 reduction qualify for funding. The AKEF provides risk-bearing financing in the form of loans, guarantees or equity to a maximum of € 5 million per project. The AKEF provides no subsidies but only market-based financing. The municipality of Amsterdam has outsourced the management of the fund to e3.
Fûns Skjinne Fryske Enerzjy (FSFE) was established with the primary aim to contribute to the sustainability ambition of the province of Friesland. The FSFE does this by offering financial resources to projects in the area of sustainable energy and energy saving. These projects must make a demonstrable contribution to energy transition in the province of Friesland. The FSFE provides risk-bearing financing in the form of loans, guarantees and/or equity (in combination with private investors) with a maximum of € 15 million per project. The FSFE provides no subsidies but only market-based financing. The province has outsourced the management of the fund to Stimuleringsfonds Volkshuisvesting Nederlandse gemeente (SVn). SVn subsequently entered into cooperation with e3.
e3 partners intends to launch a new initiative soon: the Dutch Renewable Energy Fund – II.
